Glutenfreeda Burritos

I've been wanting to try these Glutenfreeda burritos for a long time! I first found them at a Whole Foods in Dallas, TX, and the bean and cheese burrito was pretty good for what it was (a frozen burrito). I found more burritos at A Matter of Health in Nanuet, NY the other day, and thought I'd give the vegetarian dairy free rice and beans burrito a try.

This burrito was sad in every way, shape, and form. It packed some spicy heat, but otherwise both the dough and the inside contents were entirely flavorless. Sometimes we just have to remember that there are certain foods that we should not miss. Gluten-free frozen burritos are no better than glutenous frozen burritos, and frozen shortcuts are not always the answer for the Celiac who craves a taste of normalcy (but on the plus side, each burrito was ~$3).

Thanks for sharing your frozen burrito experience. I work with Helen's Kitchen and we have a new line of Gluten Free Burrito Bowls that are up your ally. There are two flavors, Veggie and Fiesta Black Bean, both with two servings of vegetables and 10 grams of protein. In addition to being gluten and meat-free, both are free of GMOs, trans fat, MSG, antibiotics, steroids or genetically modified substances. Let us know if you try them!
